Hard economic times are causing many small firm lawyers to consider their finances more closely.  Law.com has a good article with practical tips about how to manage fiances.

Paul Schorn has some imminently practical tips to get more financial flexibilty in your practice:

  • Do your own typing
  • Buy used office furniture
  • Have a line of credit, but use it judiciously to ensure cash flow
  • Use a "Sweep Account"

While none of these suggestions will guarantee financial success, they are good practical tips.  You can read the full Article here:  www.law.com/jsp/law/sfb/lawArticleSFB.jsp

If you have practical suggestions for how small firm practitioners can manage their finances better, we'd love to hear and post them.
