Google Wave Dead

Now Google has officially killed the project citing having "not seen the kind of user adoption we would have liked."

It did look like it might be email for the 20th Century, but truth is, I don't think any of us could figure out exactly how it made communication easier.  I found I would get lost in the multitude of responses and mixed threads.
