Free Web Tools

Law.com's published on their Legal Technology website, a great list of free web apps that lawyers will find useful:  Free Web Tools for the Way Your Work.

Nicholas Gaffney has an impressive list of free web apps like:

• Google Alerts
• Google Reader (which I've talked about previously and highly recommend)
• Zoho (which is quite good though I find myself using Google Docs more for collaboration)
• Evernote (which I think is fantastic and am using more and more)
• Jott (which I've only played around with but can see how its voice to text capabilities would be tremendously valuable to a practicing lawyer)
• Google Desktop (super search tool for your computer)

He also has a bunch of web app I have to admit I have never heard of:

• Zamzar (which sounds pretty darned interesting for file format conversion)
• Whiteboard (which sounds like a great collaboration tool)
• Gathergrid (which sounds like a great scheduling tool)

I think I'm definitely going to have to check a few of those out.
