Facebook Privacy Settings

There has been a ton or criticism of Facebook's privacy options.  In response, Facebook has - again - updated and improved the options you have to protect your privacy.  They include:

  • Opting out of applications
  • Hiding your "Friends List"
  • Hiding your "Interests"
  • Hiding information from the past
  • Better "one click" options for privacy settings
That said, you should be aware that many settings are, by default, open to the public.  That's fine if you only post things you want to be known to the general public.  It would serve you well, however, to check your privacy settings to make sure they are set as you desire them.
