I just downloaded Flipboard for the iPad and it looks mighty interesting. It builds a "personal magazine" for you based on what your social media friends find interesting.
Unfortunately, I can't fully try it right away because they appear to be in Beta and one has to sign up for an invitation to add your social networking accounts so that you get your friend's link feeds to build the "personal magazine," but you can browse general feeds.
