I'm not sure if this should be categorized more substantively, but Jens Voigt's comments when crossing the stage finish-line at The Tour after his crash is both funny and poignant.
Jens, well near Lance Armstrong age (actually, a day older if I remember right) blew a front tire descending in the Pyrenees in this year's Tour. Unlike last year, where he crashed out, this year he was able to get a little yellow junior bike with toe clips to ride far enough to meet back up with his team car to get a real racing bike and finish. His interview following is grit & determination combined with sage resignation and sprinkled generously with humor:
